Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a very common childhood disorders which may continue through adolescence and adulthood also. The symptoms of ADHD are difficulty staying focused and paying attention, difficulty controlling behavior, and hyperactivity (over-activity). These symptoms can pose serious problems to the child in his scholastic performance, in relating to his peers and the child may very often land with the head master or the head of school and be punished often.
Children who have symptoms of inattention:

  • are easily distracted, they miss details and forget very often
  • Have difficulty focusing on one thing
  • Become bored very easily especially when it comes to studies
  • Have difficulty focusing attention and learning new things
  • Do not complete homework assignments, often lose things (e.g., pencils, toys, assignments) needed to complete tasks or activities
  • Daydream

Children who have symptoms of hyperactivity:

  • Fidgety and very restless in their seats
  • Talk nonstop
  • Run around, touching or playing with anything and everything in sight
  • Cannot sit still during any activity such as dinner, school, and story time etc.,
